Thread seal

Threadlockers, pipe and thread sealants, jointing compounds and surface sealants secure, seal or fasten connections temporarily or permanently, depending on requirements. They harden after metal contact in the absence of air. The liquid completely fills gaps and prevents a drop in preload. This effectively prevents loosening or leakage caused by vibrations, temperature changes or chemical substances and also protects the connection against corrosion and fretting corrosion.

Advantages
- 1-component product, i.e. no measuring and mixing
- Fills gaps (100 % surface contact, zero gap)
- No setting of the seal (unlike with solid gaskets)
- Floating installation possible

Can be dismantled
The selection of the correct strength grade depends on how often the joint is to be removed. Hardened adhesive residue must be removed.

Low strength
Easy to dismantle with normal hand tools
Medium strength
Can be removed with normal hand tools
High strength
Disassembly not intended - difficult with normal hand tools - if necessary, heat the area locally (> 250 °C) and disassemble when heated
